The more I get involved with the Occupy movement, the more I am disheartened.
Right now, most people consider it a “leaderless” movement and that bothers me. It’s the one thing that prevents me from really considering myself a “member” of the Occupy movement.
I enjoy hanging out with the Occupy people, it’s just there are some ideological concepts that keep me feeling like an outsider. I will help them however I can, but I until someone, somewhere steps up and starts to see themselves as a leader I am going to feel more like an independent observer than a real participant.
At least one person has said this will change, but I don’t know. The Tea Party is largely leaderless, so it’s possible the Occupy movement will be leaderless as well.
